So, anyone that has followed my work for the last couple of years will know that I have teamed up on a number of occasions with Abacus Cards, creating a range of greeting cards called Wishing On A Star for Clare Maddicott.
A while ago now, Abacus asked me if I was willing to collaborate on a completely new and very, very different project. I saw the potential straight away but had no idea how I could bring it to life. But, low and behold, the Baby Grands Greeting Cards range has been dreamt up, brought to life and is now available in shops across the nation.
This is so very different to anything I have ever done before and it wasn’t easy, so I am extremely proud. I spent a long time on the wigs alone – designing them, finding the perfect wool and finding someone that could bring my designs to life. And that was all before we even attempted to keep them on a six month olds head! Haha..
I have worked on some very high profile campaigns in my time but styling for tiny Grandmas and Granddads was a massive challenge!
I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that helped on this project – from extra assistants, wig makers, knitters, parents and of course the kids themselves. It was a huge ask of the kids but they all did it so, so well.
You can view (and buy) the full range over on the Abacus Site and you can find them in stores across the UK, they have been spotted already!!
Guess who’s back??
Following an incredible launch last year, Nicky has been working hard sourcing new products and dreaming up new visions all whilst figuring out what works and what doesn’t! And so, The Ice Cream Dream was born and is the first of the new collections from Bobby Rabbit’s Summer range.
With my art direction & styling experience, I bring together the incredible products and Nicky’s visions and bring them to life. We’ll be sharing more of images of the new Summer range over the next few weeks but if you can’t wait, just head over to the shop or follow Bobby Rabbit on Facebook and Instagram. Nicky uses her images to promote and advertise and has found commercial photography to be a huge asset in growing her new business.
I love being part of growing businesses and would love to hear about your journey and talk about how commercial photography will help you develop, get in touch if you would like to know more!
The range went on sale in independent card shops and department stores across the nation and following a year of successful sales, we added these further 9 images to the range in 2015.
These were launched at the Spring Fair last month and are available to buy in stores & online now.

I shared the story of Bobby Rabbit a few weeks ago, and how we came to be working together.
With my own natural light studio space and all of the beautiful hand selected products that Nicky had created or sourced from across the world, we were able to create images for Bobby Rabbit’s ‘Bedtime Stories’ – “rooms that tell their very own story. Not just any old story, but a story that begins in a child’s imagination and ends as a lifelong memory.”
With Nicky’s vision and my art direction & styling we were able to create the images that are key to the new Bobby Rabbit website as Nicky didn’t just want to create another online store, she wanted to be able to share her visions & ideas, inspire people to create magical and timeless kids’ spaces to inspire little minds.
Combining styled bedroom shots with individual product shots enabled Nicky to share each story as well as everything you need to start re-creating it yourself at home.
I will always spend time with my clients prior to their shoot to make sure I know the vision, and know the goal.. That way I can do everything in my power to help you achieve it and my studio is the perfect “blank canvas” to bring your ideas and my images to life.
Harpers Interiors brought a chic and timeless feel to the interior design at this client’s residence on an exclusive development in North Yorkshire. The design brief was to update the colour palette within this spacious home, as well as the furniture, flooring and lighting and so my brief was to create images to reflect all aspects of the care & detail put into this project as well as the high quality products used.
It is important to chose the RIGHT photographer, someone who is on board with your vision and understands your work and your brand. Michael & I have worked together numerous times and have developed an understanding of each others style and requirements.
“In Jules we have found someone with creativity and attention to detail who can impressively capture exactly the shot we wanted.”
Michael, Harpers Interiors
